Kee Nola: The real Blade takes over in a blood-thirsty ‘Problematic’ music video

Why keep waiting for a new Blade film when rap crooner Kee Nola has the solution to those killer vampires courtesy of the ‘Problematic’ music video?

Pure cinematic fun and a hard-hitting anthem? Oh yes. Fully tap in.

Kee Nola, the New Orleans-born singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, uses his natural talent to blend genres and process his pain. The young artist paints with a new color on "Problematic," his new single, which mixes emo, trap, and more to thrilling effect. Produced by Kee himself, "Problematic" draws power from a hard-edged synth riff, laid over halftime trap percussion, enhanced by Kee's charging melody. Kee sings about his trust issues, as he self-medicates and steels himself to prevent future heartbreak: "Bad h*es made my heart cold," he sings.

Directed by Maxii, the video draws inspiration from films like Blade and Underworld, following Kee as a baddie brings him to an underground rave. Things are not quite what they seem: the woman bares fangs, and Kee finds himself surrounded by bloodsucking vampires. Unfazed, the 21-year-old artist makes like Wesley Snipes, unloading on the creatures of the night with his trusty shotgun.
