Global trailblazer LIL UZI VERT celebrates their birthday with the surprise release of their new EP, Maverick “Almost Forever,” which is available to stream on all platforms via Roc Nation Distribution.  

The EP includes eight brand new songs from the Philadelphia native, marking their first new music release of 2026. The project’s artwork also features a childhood photo of Uzi alongside their grandmother enhanced with stylized visual effects. 

Earlier this summer, Uzi offered a preview of one of the EP’s standout songs, “London,” during their headlining set at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash. The release of Maverick “Almost Forever” also coincides with Uzi’s performance at Lollapalooza 2026 this evening in Chicago.  

Uzi capped off 2025 with the release of “What You Saying,” which quickly evolved into an anthem that helped define the start of 2026. The song became a hit, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart and No. 1 on Billboard’s Rap Streaming Songs chart. 

The accompanying visual for “What You Saying” premiered exclusively on Vogue and featured appearances from cultural icons including Adriana Lima, Law Roach, Lola Leon, Marc Jacobs, and Martin from Slushy Noobz, resulting in over 33 million views and further highlighting Uzi’s influence across music, fashion, and entertainment. 

Maverick “Almost Forever” follows a major new chapter for UZI, who officially launched their label Cor(e), a fan-forward platform created to bring fans closer to the artist through exclusive experiences, content, and community-driven moments.
