Sherrionn: The Chicago crooner delivers acoustic sizzle with a STILL performance

All eyes on crooner Sherrionn? You already know. It’s a Chicago ting with the singer coming through courtesy of a ‘Still’ acoustic performance.

Fresh from delivering her Honey Trap project to the masses, Sherrionn continues to feed day ones with new content. Tap in.

Chicago singer, songwriter, and audio engineer Sherrionn is back with an acoustic rendition of her song, “Still,”  from her debut mixtape, Honey Trap, out now via Young Chop’s Chop Squad Records. Stripping the record down to its core, the performance puts Sherrionn’s vocals front and center while offering a new take on the standout track. Watch “Still” here.

For the acoustic performance, Sherrionn teams up with DJ Verner, who accompanies her on guitar, giving the record a warmer, more tender feel while showcasing another side of her artistry.

The performance follows Sherrionn’s recent video for “Way Up,” another notable track from Honey Trap. Inspired by the documentary-style feel of Kanye West’s “Through the Wire,” the scrapbook-like visual pieces together moments from across Sherrionn’s life and career, moving from childhood footage to studio sessions, touring, performances and candid moments on the road. The result offers a personal look at the years of work behind her journey and how far she has come.

The releases continue a milestone stretch for the Chicago native. Sherrionn recently joined Yung Bleu on the We All Need Therapy Tour, made a cameo in his “Mercedes” video and delivered a standout hometown performance at Lollapalooza. She next returns to the stage for a hometown showcase in collaboration with Sofar Sounds on October 9 in Chicago. Get tickets here.

A graduate of Tribeca Flashpoint’s Audio Engineering and Recording Arts program, Sherrionn has approached her career with a hands-on understanding of both the creative and technical sides of music. Before signing with Young Chop’s Chop Squad Records, she built an audience through covers, remixes, live music reviews and original content while independently developing her sound. With Honey Trap, Sherrionn continues to build on that foundation, showcasing the versatility, work ethic and creative perspective that have shaped her journey so far.

MORE ON SHERRIONN

Raised between Chicago and the south suburbs, Sherrionn’s relationship with music began early. Her mother was a vocalist and dancer, while her father was a signed rapper in the 1990s, giving her a musical foundation rooted in both melody and rhythm. She later refined her performance skills through show choir competitions, became involved with Donda’s House, and earned a degree in Audio Engineering and Recording Arts from Tribeca Flashpoint in 2019.

After spending time in Atlanta expanding her sound and perspective, Sherrionn returned to Chicago with renewed focus and a sharper artistic vision. With Honey Trap, she continues carving out a lane that merges soulful R&B and street-rooted energy into something distinctly her own.
