Young M.A: The Brooklyn rap flexer inches closer to dropping a new album with ‘BabyMama Trippin’

Need more than a few Young M.A singles? Look no further than her full-fledged album getting closer to dropping with her ‘BabyMama Trippin’ anthem. More than a new song, it’s a full-fledged visual, too.

Young M.A comes through with her ‘BabyMama Trippin’ music video

The song demands replays but how about seeing M.A showing out from the home setting with her newest visual rollout? Say less.

With several Platinum plaques, billions of streams in the bank, and the respect of every spitter in the game, Young M.A. doesn't have anything to prove to anyone but herself. Looking to dominate another summer, the Brooklyn-born emcee shares "BabyMama Trippin," a breezy and danceable new banger that will blast out of bluetooth speakers and car windows throughout the Five Boroughs.

Produced by NYBangers, "BabyMama Trippin" is perfectly suited to block parties, with an airy atmosphere supplemented by skittering drill hi-hats and Jersey club drumwork. The song expresses M.A.'s intentions to remain outside, and bring out the city with her. The decorated spitter locks into a quick-firing cadence, unleashing barbed bars in short, declarative bursts: "RIP my enemies/I was a demon off this Hennessey/Gotta protect my energy/B*tch my love ain't complimentary," she spits. In the video, M.A. ignores a call from her baby mama before taking us on a tour of her luxurious house, leading her bros in a hip-shaking dance.

"BabyMama Trippin" continues a ferocious run from the star rapper, marked by viral freestyles and speaker-knocking singles. After taking a hiatus to conquer her personal demons, M.A. emerged with a vengeance in 2025, showing her singular talent on "Went Legit," a freestyle over the hit G Herbo anthem. Performed during Kai Cenat x On The Radar's Mafiathon, M.A.'s "Went Legit" quickly went viral, racking up over 6.7 million views on YouTube and re-establishing her as one of rap's bar-for-bar best. Since then, M.A. has kept the streets hot with singles like "Aura" and "Thumperz" in late 2025, and made a splash with "Lasagna," her most recent single, which has nearly 2 million views since dropping in February. "BabyMama Trippin," "Lasagna," and more will feature on M.A.'s next studio album, dropping this summer via her own M.A. Music / 3D.

For over a decade, Young M.A. has been one of hip-hop's most beloved artists, taking over the streets with her quotable missives. Her smash hit "OOOUUU" is one of the defining rap hits of the past decade, going 4x Platinum, racking up over 471 million YouTube views, peaking at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100, and inspiring remixes from every artist under the sun. Even nine years after release, the song can still shut down a function in any city across the country. "OOOUUU" is only a small part of M.A.'s story–her catalog has generated more than 3 billion streams, her singles "Big" and "Pettywap" went Platinum and Gold, respectively, and she has released four studio albums to date (HerstoryHerstory In The MakingRed FluOff The Yak). Beyond music, M.A. has expanded into acting, with roles in the Emmy-winning TV series Mr. Robot and the acclaimed film The 40 Year Old Version, and gives back to her community via the Kweens Foundation, which she founded with her mom.

With album five on the way, Young M.A. has been focusing on her health and state of mind as she prepares to claim her rightful throne. Stay tuned for much more information and music from the album, before it releases in the coming weeks.
